Jets Transport Express was established with one prime mover in 1989. Since then the business has grown to operate a fleet of over 30 prime movers and trailers across a national network.

Jets main activity is the provision of bonded interstate trucking for domestic legs of international air freight. Jets' customers include many of the world's major passenger and cargo airlines.

The business operates Australia's largest fleet of trailers capable of handling large main deck freighter aircraft pallets.

In May 2008, the business was purchased by Qantas Freight Enterprises and now operates as a wholly owned but independently managed subsidiary. The business continues to service other carriers as well as Qantas Group airlines. Jets Transport Express employs around 80 staff and operates between all major capital cites from hubs in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Coolangatta, Perth and Adelaide.
