Jets
Transport Express is Australia's largest operator of trailers specially
designed to handle main deck freighter aircraft pallets that are too
large for domestic aircraft. Each specially designed trailer is capable
of carrying four aircraft ULDs in the configuration of 3 x AQ7 and
1 x AQ6 or 4 x AQ6. The trailers feature a retractable lift deck capable
of lifting a 5,000 kilogram ULD. The trailers also feature double
hinged rear doors, retractable air rollers and most are fitted with
Thermo king refrigeration units.
The unique features of Jets trailers make them ideal
for carrying over hung or extended pallets and awkwardly shaped freight.
Among its fleet of 32 trailers, Jets currently has 19
custom built trailers with lift deck and rollers, 16 are fitted with
Thermoking refrigeration units. Jets trailer fleet also includes:
- Four B-double trailers - two A trailers and two B trailers.
- One open trailer for over dimensional or specialised equipment
complete with rollers on the rear deck
- Two dry freight trailers without rollers
- Two straight floored trailers complete with refrigeration units
and rollers
